We immediately fell in love with the distinctive glass candle holders that Agustina Ros creates in her Barcelona studio – candle holders that are more than just a translation of their function, but unique objects of craftsmanship in their own right.
The glass artist uses clear borosilicate glass and liquid silver to create this candle holder through flameworking, which involves heating transparent borosilicate glass rods and tubes with a torch until they soften and can be worked.
Each piece is unique. Certain irregularities are therefore intentional and a sign of the handmade process.
