We immediately fell in love with the distinctive glass candle holders that Agustina Ros creates in her Barcelona studio – candle holders that are more than just a translation of their function, but unique objects of craftsmanship in their own right.
The glass artist uses clear borosilicate glass to create her candle holders through flameworking, which involves heating transparent borosilicate glass rods and tubes with a torch until they soften and can be worked.
Each piece is unique. As the candle openings on the candle holders are not standardised due to the handmade nature of the work, you may need to melt a little of the candle base to ensure the candle holds and fits perfectly.
